Beijer Ref, the Sweden-based refrigeration and HVACR distribution powerhouse, is pushing its North American growth strategy across the border with the acquisition of Enertrak, a Montreal-headquartered distributor serving contractors throughout Eastern Canada. The deal marks the first Canadian entry for Heritage Distribution Holdings, the platform Beijer Ref has been building across the United States.
Enertrak's geographic reach covers a broad swath of eastern provinces — Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador — giving Heritage Distribution an immediate presence in markets that have historically been harder for U.S.-anchored platforms to penetrate organically.
